As you know, the federal government launched a Supercluster program aimed at creating wealth for the nation by positioning high-potential industrial sectors for global leadership. This very exciting and ambitious program was launched on May 24th and the letter of intent must be submitted on July 21st.
Aerospace industrial leaders have decided to join forces and put a bid into the program. As of last week, on short notice, a team of some twelve industries across Canada met to develop the concept behind the aerospace proposal.

These information sessions will explain the rationale behind the bid and the concept in detail. They are also meant to gather your comments to improve our presentation and determine what will be required from the community to make it a success. If our letter of intent is successful, we will be invited to submit a full proposal in the fall. At the end of this process, there will be a limited number of approved proposals.
The significant amount of the federal government grant, somewhere between $ 125 M and $ 250 M per Supercluster, will be matched by the industry. This sizeable amount of money would certainly place our community in a very favorable position.
We thank you in advance for your interest and support towards the supercluster concept and sincerely hope that you will attend our information sessions.
