Karen Packwood is the Executive Director and Director of Program Support within CARIC and the Consortium for Research and Innovation in Aerospace in Québec (CRIAQ). Ms. Packwood is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Project Management) from Polytechnique Montréal.

Throughout her career, Ms. Packwood has accumulated years of experience in managing programs related to innovation at both small technology start-ups and large global companies. At Polyplan Technologies, a company that provides specialized software to large manufacturing companies, she was a project and quality process manager and a member of the initial business start-up team. She was also a project manager at PTC, a U.S. software company specialized in manufactured product lifecycle management. For over eight years, Ms. Packwood has been with CRIAQ, holding a number of program- and project-related positions.

Karen Packwood is also involved in the academic community, serving as an industry member of Polytechnique Montreal’s Mechanical Engineering External Advisory Committee. She is also a member of Aéro Montréal’s Human Resources Working Group.
