Alain Aubertin, who graduated from Polytechnique Montréal with a Master of Environmental Engineering and a Ph.D. in Innovation Management, acts as Vice President, Business Development, Vice President, International Affairs and Quebec Regional Director within CARIC. At the same time, he is also Vice President, Business Development, Networking and Innovation Processes for the Consortium for Research and Innovation in Aerospace in Quebec (CRIAQ).
Mr. Aubertin has some 30 years of diverse experience in the private, quasi-public and academic sectors. Over the years, he has held positions of increasing responsibility at Lavalin, Browning-Ferris Industries and École Polytechnique de Montréal. His many roles have led to the opportunity to work in numerous industrial sectors worldwide, including leading study and research missions.
Mr. Aubertin has a strong interest in innovation ecosystems, business, international development and research partnerships.
Throughout his career, Mr. Aubertin has served on a number of professional committees, namely for LinkedIn Networks, TechnoMontréal, NAFTA’s Commission on Environmental Cooperation and Réseau Environnement. He is also regularly invited to give lectures around the world and participate in workshops and roundtable discussions.
