As Vice President, Technology and Innovation, of the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC), and within the framework of AIAC’s partnership with the Consortium for Aerospace Research and Innovation in Canada (CARIC), Guillaume Côté holds the position of National Director, CARIC.
Mr. Côté’s career in the federal government led him to take on the roles of senior advisor and manager in the field of industrial policies affecting technology and innovation. Among other endeavours, he has worked in economic departments to promote the development of aerospace and defence. As a researcher, his work on the role of industrial policy in the formation of high technology clusters earned him a PhD in Urban Studies from the National Institute of Scientific Research (INRS) and a PhD in Geography and Planning at the University of Toulouse II.
Throughout his career, Mr. Côté has received numerous awards, scholarships and accolades, and remains involved in the INRS network, for which he makes financial contributions to award scholarships for innovation to recent graduates.
